The FB1+ & TB2+ 5.1 Surround System is a hand-built, acoustically matched audiophile surround package employing PMC’s ATL technology. This package includes 2 FB1+ speakers, 2 TB2+ speakers, a TB2M-C (center channel), and a TLE1 active sub-bass unit.
The FB1+ is closely related to the TB2+, which serves as an ideal partner in an FB1+ surround system. What sets the FB1+ apart is its far longer ATL™ (Advanced Transmission Line), allowing for much greater bass weight and extension. Like the TB2+, the FB1+ offers an exceptional window into any recording, letting you experience the full dynamic force and pinpoint imaging of each track.
The TB2M-C+ is a dedicated, magnetically screened center channel equipped with identical drive units that integrate seamlessly into a TB2+ or FB1+ based surround system. It is complemented by the TLE1 active subwoofer, ensuring an immersive audio experience.
The FB1 was PMC’s first wholly domestic model and has grown from humble beginnings to become an audio legend, garnering awards worldwide from leading audiophile critics. It has received critical acclaim from respected professional magazines for its role as a true reference-recording monitor. The +upgrade introduces enhancements in the tweeter, crossover network, and transmission line damping material, contributing to a cleaner, faster, and more defined audio signature.
The TB2+ was the first bookshelf or stand-mounted design to incorporate PMC’s ATL™ technology. The original TB2 impressed audiophiles and recording professionals in both stereo and surround applications with its exceptional musical accuracy. The latest +upgrade brings further improvements to the tweeter, crossover, and transmission line damping, placing the TB2+ at the forefront of its competition in all performance areas. This two-way stand-mounted design is favored by some of the world’s leading recording and broadcast facilities, including BBC Radio.
Sharing many attributes with its smaller sibling, the DB1+, the TB2+ offers higher volume levels and increased bass extension and definition. This makes it equally suited for larger listening environments.
