Primare Systems AB was founded in the early 1980s by Danish industrial designer and audiophile Bo Christensen, with operations beginning in Denmark in 1985 before establishing Swedish operations through association with Xena Audio. Key milestones include the 1986 launch of the 928 series, 1992's 200 series introduction, and 1993's association with Swedish audio company Xena.
