The Pro-Ject Signature headshell series offers three variants: wood, carbon, and aluminum. The aluminum version comes in three finishes: Black, Chrome, and Polished. The oak wood headshell is the lightest at 8 grams, while the carbon variant weighs 10 grams, and the aluminum version is the heaviest at 12 grams. With a non-magnetic design, the headshell is compatible with all tonearms that utilize the ½ inch SME mounting standard. It features high rigidity combined with low mass, ensuring low resonance construction. The included headshell cables are made from high conductivity OFC (oxygen-free copper). An added benefit is the azimuth adjustment capability, facilitated by a screw on the side, allowing for precise cartridge alignment. The maximum cartridge mounting distance is 48.5 mm, while the minimum is 39.5 mm. Pro-Ject emphasizes the importance of selecting the appropriate headshell for optimal system performance.
