The Sanyo RD-7058 is a cassette tape deck manufactured by Sanyo between 1978 and 1980. This model features a silver exterior and lacks remote control capability. Its dimensions are 440 mm in width, 135 mm in height, and 300 mm in depth, with a weight of 8 kg. The RD-7058 consumes 40 watts of power. Audio input options include standard Line In, Line In DIN, and microphone inputs, with varying voltage and impedance specifications. It also provides adjustable Line Out and headphone output configurations. The deck employs two audio heads—a combination head for recording and playback, alongside a ferrite erase head. It operates with two motors, including a direct drive servo motor for playback and a DC servo motor for rewinding. Its tape speed is set at 4.75 cm/s, and it is compatible with different tape types, such as Type I (Normal), Type II (Cr02), and Type III (FeCr), each offering unique frequency response specifications. The distortion factor is rated at 1.5%, and the signal-to-noise ratio reads 50 dB without Dolby noise reduction and up to 60 dB with it. Additional features include LED displays for clock and counter functions, as well as a built-in MPX filter and limiter. The rewind time for a C-60 cassette is approximately 90 seconds. It does not support auto-reverse but includes Dolby noise reduction capabilities. The unit has 2 microphone inputs located at the front.
