Founded in the 1980s, Sphinx Audio Engineering originally gained recognition for sophisticated electronics, amplifiers, and speaker designs that seamlessly merged engineering precision with musical expression. After establishing its reputation in the 1980s and 90s under the Siltech engineering heritage, the brand was reimagined and relaunched by International Audio Holding B.V. (parent company of Siltech and Crystal Cable) as a new force in high-end audio. Based in Elst, Netherlands, Sphinx Audio Engineering carries forward a legacy of Dutch innovation, combining decades of award-winning loudspeaker and electronics design with modern vision. Led by CEO Edwin van der Kley Rynveld and co-owned with his wife Gabi Rijnveld, the company designs high-end loudspeakers where sculptural aesthetics meet acoustic innovation. The brand's new identity launched with the Element series loudspeakers, featuring carefully sculpted cabinet designs, bespoke PAC™ (passive-active crossover) filters, Zero Gravity™ Bass technology, and premium internal Silver-Gold wiring. Drawing on Sphinx's rich heritage of Dutch high-end audio engineering, the Element 3 and Element 5 models ensure phase-perfect reproduction and effortless musical detail at any volume.
