Founded in 2010 by five former Goldmund engineers (Jean-Loup Afresne, Antoine Petroff, Maxime Perrin, Sébastien Benz, and David Jilli), Stenheim quickly became a leader among Swiss audio brands. In 2013, Jean-Pascal Panchard, a qualified engineer with extensive high-end audio experience at Nagra and audio retail, saw the potential of the Alumine concept and took over as owner and CEO to develop the company into an industry-leading loudspeaker manufacturer. Based in Vétroz, Switzerland, Stenheim embodies unparalleled Swiss craftsmanship inspired by the country's micromechanic and watchmaking expertise. The company launched its first product, the Alumine Two, in 2011 after two years of R&D, creating compact, all-aluminum, bookshelf speakers with high-efficiency drivers. Hand-assembled in the shadow of Swiss mountains, Stenheim speakers quickly gained recognition for replacing established brands in reference systems worldwide, establishing the company as a significant player alongside Nagra, CH Precision, and Goldmund in high-end Swiss audio.
