Sony Announces Discontinuation of Blu-ray Recorder Shipments Without Successor Models
Sony announces the discontinuation of Blu-ray disc recorder shipments starting February 2026, with no successor models planned.
Affected models include the 2024 BDZ-ZW1900 and 2023 BDZ-FBT4200/FBT2200/FBW2200 units.
Sony previously declared the phased cessation of recordable optical disc development and production by July 2024.
