Unitra

Unitra is a legendary Polish audio equipment manufacturer with a remarkable history spanning over six decades. Originally established in 1961 as the Association of Polish Consumer Electronics Manufacturers, Unitra comprised 28 manufacturing companies employing 100,000 people at its peak, becoming an industrial giant of Eastern Europe whose products were present in virtually every Polish household. The original company ceased operations in 1989 with the fall of communism, but in 2021, the brand was spectacularly revived by Daniel Kostrzewa and Adrian Krupowicz in partnership with renowned investor Michał Kiciński (co-founder of CD Projekt). Based in Warsaw's Ursus district with a team of approximately 20 engineers, the modern Unitra combines 20th-century audio traditions with contemporary sustainability principles and cutting-edge design. The company has already achieved international recognition, winning the Red Dot Design Award 2023 for their WSH-805 Hi-Fi amplifier and making their first international appearance at High End Munich 2024. Unitra's revival represents not just nostalgia but a genuine commitment to restoring Poland's position in the global high-end audio market, creating products that honor their legendary heritage while embracing modern innovation and environmental responsibility.
