Founded in 2016 by Florian Bretones, a French retro audio connoisseur, We Are Rewind emerged from the wave of 80s nostalgia sparked by 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Stranger Things.' The company specializes in creating modern portable cassette players that bridge analog past with digital present, honoring cassette tapes while embracing contemporary technology. Collaborating with ORA and supported by French engineers with 40 years of analog experience (from Thomson company), We Are Rewind developed high-end portable cassette players with sober, pure design inspired by the original Sony Walkman. Their innovative 2.0 player features rechargeable battery solutions (a world first for cassette players) and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, addressing modern practicality while preserving the tangible nature and warm sound quality of magnetic tape.
