Founded in 1974 by Australian engineer Billy Woodman, ATC (Acoustic Transducer Company) is a British specialist manufacturer of loudspeaker drive units and complete sound reproduction systems. Located in Stroud, Gloucestershire, the company designs and manufactures all drivers, crossovers, and amplifiers in-house. After Billy Woodman's death in 2022, his son Will Woodman became Managing Director. ATC serves both professional audio (recording studios, broadcast, film post-production) and consumer hi-fi markets. The company is renowned for high-performance, hand-built loudspeakers and has maintained its commitment to UK manufacturing and engineering excellence. Their professional monitors are used in major recording studios worldwide, while their consumer speakers serve discerning audiophiles.
