Founded in 1964 by Dr. Amar Bose, Bose Professional is the commercial audio division of Bose Corporation, headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts since 1972. The Professional Division was established in 1972 when musicians began using Bose 901 speakers for PA systems and stage monitors. A privately held company with approximately 6,000 employees and $4 billion in revenue (2022), Bose Professional develops, markets, and sells professional audio equipment for diverse markets including performing arts centers, places of worship, theaters, stadiums, restaurants, schools, retail stores, hotels, and corporate buildings. With 201-500 employees in the Professional division, the company provides loudspeakers, amplifiers, and specialized software for sound professionals globally, supported by R&D facilities in Framingham, Netherlands, and Shanghai with an annual R&D budget of around $100 million.

Eclipse Audio's FIR Designer v4.5 now supports designing custom EQ settings for Bose Professional sound processors and amplifiers, including PowerShareX and PowerMatch models.
The new version introduces a "Bose Professional" IIR filter mode, ensuring compatibility with Bose's ControlSpace Designer software for professional configuration and control.
Supported filter types in the Bose mode include parametric, low-shelf, high-shelf, notch, and Butterworth high-pass and low-pass filters, exportable as .peq files.
