Cabasse was founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, an electrical engineer descended from six generations of French luthiers (1730-1860), providing deep musical heritage to the brand. The company pioneered coaxial speaker technology in 1952, predating KEF and others by decades. Based in Plouzané, Brittany, France, Cabasse operates extensive facilities including a 5,000+ square foot anechoic chamber and 12,000+ square foot manufacturing workshop, plus an underground bunker for power and reliability testing. The company masters all four pillars of audio: drivers, amplification, mechanics, and software. Cabasse is now part of Cabasse Group (formerly AwoX Group), a European smart home technology leader. Recent innovations include The Pearl Collection with luxury connected audio systems and The Pearl Theater wireless hi-fi home theater system. The company combines over 70 years of coaxial technology expertise with modern connected audio solutions.
