The 78th Cannes Film Festival is set to grace the Croisette from May 13 to 24, 2025, promising a stellar lineup that cinephiles have eagerly anticipated. This year's main competition showcases over 20 films, featuring prominent directors such as Ari Aster with "Eddington", Wes Anderson presenting "The Phoenician Scheme", and Sergei Loznica's "Two Prosecutors". Julia Ducornet contributes "Alpha", while Richard Linklater debuts "New Wave". Special screenings will feature Andrew Dominik's "Bono: Stories of Capitulation", Juno Mak's "Sons of Neon Night", and Claude Miller's "Tell Her I Love Her". The "Special Perspective" section will showcase films starring Scarlett Johansson, Harris Dickinson, and Harry Laiton, alongside the poignant drama "Once Upon a Time in Gaza". These offerings provide audiences with a blend of compelling storytelling and technical excellence.
