Audiovector Unveils R 10 Arreté at HIGH END Munich 2025

8 May 2025 by Mike Danyk

Audiovector has introduced its latest flagship loudspeaker, the R 10 Arreté, at HIGH END Munich 2025, marking a significant milestone in Danish audio engineering. This new model combines four and a half decades of craftsmanship with innovative design, aiming to deliver an unparalleled listening experience that stands out in the high-end market.

The R 10 Arreté is constructed from premium hardwoods, including African Mahogany Crotch Piano, Canadian Birdseye Maple Piano, and Italian Walnut Burl, showcasing Audiovector’s dedication to both aesthetic and acoustic excellence. Measuring 156 cm in height and weighing approximately 95 kg per unit, the speakers feature a robust build that houses an impressive array of drivers. The dual AMT Tweeters, integrated with the Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC), cover a frequency range from 3,000 Hz to 53,000 Hz, while a dedicated hyper tweeter extends up to 20,000 Hz. This configuration ensures a treble response that is both clear and expansive, capturing the finest musical details with exceptional imaging.

One of the standout features of the R 10 Arreté is its eight rear-facing bass drivers, which collectively emulate the surface area of a traditional 15-inch woofer. This unique setup provides deep bass extension with controlled articulation, eliminating typical cabinet-induced pressure buildup. Additionally, the Accelerated Force Concept (AFC) bass/midrange structure allows the drivers to respond with precision, resulting in low distortion and a physically present sound that remains tight and powerful across the entire frequency spectrum.

The technical specifications of the R 10 Arreté further highlight its advanced engineering. With a frequency response of 21 Hz to 53 kHz, an impedance of 8 Ohms (5 Ohms minimum), and a sensitivity of 90 dB/W, these speakers are designed to perform seamlessly with high-end audio systems. The inclusion of high current Nextgen Bi-Wire terminals ensures robust connectivity, while the tapered frequency response up to 2,000 Hz from the bass drivers contributes to a fast and precise overall sound.

Priced at $160,000 per pair, the Audiovector R 10 Arreté sets a new benchmark in the high-end loudspeaker market. Handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, the R 10 not only delivers exceptional sound quality but also serves as a statement of Audiovector’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of loudspeaker design. Audiovector invites enthusiasts to experience the R 10 Arreté firsthand at their showcase in Atrium 4.2 F203 during HIGH END Munich 2025.
