Børresen's new T-series loudspeakers blend Danish craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, succeeding the 0-series.
Standard models use copper pole rings and advanced resonance control, while SSE versions feature silver pole rings, titanium baskets, and optimized drivers.
Patented ironless magnet motor offers enhanced clarity and precision with minimal flux variation.
Børresen has unveiled its latest T-series loudspeakers, meticulously designed and handcrafted in Denmark. Building on the foundation of the previous 0- and M-series, the T-series represents the culmination of extensive research and innovative advancements. This new lineup serves as a successor to the 0-series, featuring three distinct models: the T1 monitor, and the T3 and T5 floorstanding speakers, each available in standard and Silver Supreme Edition (SSE) versions.
The T-series draws significant inspiration from the high-end M-series, integrating scaled-down M technologies to deliver exceptional acoustic performance. The cabinets are a sophisticated blend of high-gloss lacquer, carbon, and genuine wood veneer, achieving a harmonious balance between elegant design and superior sound quality. Each model maintains the core driver and cabinet designs but introduces enhancements in the SSE versions. Standard models are equipped with cryogenically treated copper pole rings and Darkz T2 resonance control devices, while the SSE variants feature cryogenically treated silver pole rings for reduced inductance, titanium driver baskets, and advanced Darkz T2 resonance control.
A standout feature of the T-series is Børresen's patented ironless magnet motor, which replaces conventional iron-core designs with four neodymium (N52) rings arranged in a mirror-image configuration. This innovation enhances the responsiveness of the voice coil, resulting in improved clarity and precision. The standard T-series models utilize copper pole rings to mitigate flux variations, whereas the SSE models upgrade to silver pole rings, offering superior conductivity and enhanced midrange resolution and transparency. Additionally, the SSE versions' five-inch drivers incorporate titanium baskets optimized through finite element methods (FEM) to ensure outstanding stiffness and damping, as well as unobstructed airflow for optimal performance.
The T3 and T5 models feature dual speaker connections, supporting both bi-wiring and bi-amping capabilities. This allows for independent power delivery to the bass and mid/high sections, enhancing clarity and spatial depth. All T-series loudspeakers employ serial crossover networks, ensuring that transducers in the filter area receive a phase-locked electrical current. For further room optimization, the T3 and T5 can be paired with Aavik active crossovers, available in various amplifiers from the sister brand Aavik.
The Børresen T-series will be available from March 2025, with pricing as follows:
