Bryan Ferry’s Reissue of ‘Olympia’ and ‘When Time Goes By’ Albums Unveiled

20 April 2025 by Mike Danyk

Bryan Ferry’s acclaimed 13th studio album, Olympia, is set for a reissue on May 30, 2025, available in both CD and vinyl formats. Originally released in 2010, the album is celebrated for its sophisticated blend of art rock, refined pop, and electronic elements, showcasing Ferry’s signature elegance. Collaborations with notable artists such as Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay, David Gilmour, and Nile Rodgers add depth to the project, with the standout single "You Can Dance" co-written with Dave A. Stewart of Eurythmics.

The reissue maintains the album’s rich production values, now featuring a newly pressed 180g red vinyl for audiophiles seeking superior sound quality. The CD edition mirrors the original deluxe version by including two bonus tracks, “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night” and “One Night,” though it omits the previously included DVD content. Updated artwork, overseen by Ferry himself, offers a fresh visual take while preserving the album’s iconic aesthetic, including the striking cover photo of model Kate Moss.

In addition to Olympia, Ferry’s 1999 album When Time Goes By will also see a reissue. This collection of cover versions and jazz standards, co-produced with Rhett Davies, is available on CD with its original fifteen tracks and on a 180g ‘honey gold’ vinyl LP. The reissue retains the timeless charm of Ferry’s interpretations, presented with pristine audio fidelity on the specially pressed vinyl.

Both Olympia and When Time Goes By are released through BMG Rights, catering to collectors and new listeners alike. The meticulous attention to audio quality and presentation underscores Ferry’s enduring legacy in the music industry, offering fans a chance to experience these works with enhanced clarity and style.
