120W Class A/B amplifier with robust 750VA transformer and advanced RF noise filtering.
Modular design supports phono stage, streaming DAC, and various input/output options.
Swiss-inspired aesthetic with copper heatsinks, LCD display, and customizable finishes.
Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems has officially launched the Pendulum integrated amplifier, marking a significant addition to their esteemed lineup. Building on the legacy of high-performance audio, the Pendulum offers a compelling combination of power and precision, tailored for discerning listeners seeking both accessibility and superior sound quality.
The Pendulum features a robust Class A/B design, delivering 120 watts per channel into 8 Ohms and an impressive 240 watts into 4 Ohms. Its output stage is supported by a 750VA toroidal transformer and a 25,000 μF capacitor bank, ensuring stable and clean power delivery. Advanced internal circuitry effectively filters RF noise from the AC power line, addressing asymmetric power waveforms and DC presence on the mains to maintain audio integrity.
At the core of the Pendulum lies a meticulously re-engineered JFET input circuit topology, inspired by the renowned Momentum HD Preamplifier. Connectivity is versatile, with three balanced XLR analogue inputs, a single-ended RCA set, a quarter-inch headphone socket, and a balanced XLR pre-amplifier output available on the back panel. Additionally, the amplifier offers expansion options, including a 60 dB-capable phono board for MC cartridges and an optional streaming DAC board that integrates Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TOSLINK, HDMI eARC, Tidal Connect, and Spotify Connect, with future support for Roon Ready.
The aesthetic design of the Pendulum reflects Dan D’Agostino’s signature style, featuring an aluminum chassis accented with copper heatsinks and an elegant LCD display that mimics the look of Swiss watch analog meters. The device weighs 16kg and measures 43cm x 12cm x 36cm, available in sleek black and silver finishes, with custom color options on request.
Priced at US$16,000, the Pendulum sets a new benchmark for integrated amplifiers in its class. Optional phono and streaming DAC boards are available for US$1,000 and US$2,500 respectively, allowing users to customize their audio setup to suit their specific needs. Shipping is now underway from the Arizona-based DDMAS facility, promising to bring high-fidelity audio to a broader audience without compromising the technical excellence that Dan D’Agostino is renowned for.
