Diptyque Audio Unveils the Reference MK2 at High End Show 2025 Munich
Diptyque Audio is set to unveil the Diptyque Reference MK2, the latest generation of their acclaimed isodynamic acoustic systems, at the High End Show 2025 in Munich from May 15 to 18. This new iteration builds upon the innovative foundation of its predecessor, incorporating advanced technologies developed in collaboration with renowned sound engineer Philippe Teissier du Cros.
The Diptyque Reference MK2 features the proprietary Crossed Push-Pull system, a standout advancement in speaker design. Each bass driver employs two independent windings—positioned vertically and horizontally—to drive a delicate 12 µm mylar membrane. This meticulous engineering ensures precise control and enhanced efficiency in reproducing low frequencies, delivering a rich and distortion-free bass response. The midrange is handled by a 20 mm isodynamic tape, covering 600 to 7000 Hz, while high frequencies are rendered by an 8 mm pure aluminum super tweeter, extending the frequency response beyond 40 kHz.
Technical specifications highlight the MK2's impressive performance capabilities. With a frequency range from 22 Hz to 24 kHz and a sensitivity of 89 dB at 1W/1m, these speakers are designed for both depth and clarity. The system operates with a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms and is recommended to be paired with amplifiers exceeding 60 W, despite a maximum power handling of 300 W. Each unit measures 180 x 65 x 4.4 cm and weighs 75 kg, ensuring a robust build quality that complements various interior designs through a range of available finishes, including leather and multiple color options.
