The album marks Felder's first solo project since his illustrious tenure with the Eagles, offering a retrospective look at his extensive career spanning over five decades. The Vault delves into Felder's vast repository of ideas accumulated since the 1970s. “For every Eagles song, I would write and record 15 to 17 song ideas,” Felder explains. This prolific approach led to iconic tracks like "Hotel California," "Those Shoes," and "Victim of Love." Revisiting his old demos, Felder unearthed hidden gems that have been meticulously re-recorded and enhanced for this collection. Additionally, several new compositions have been integrated to complement the classic material, resulting in a cohesive and dynamic listening experience.

Featuring an impressive lineup of guest musicians, the album includes contributions from David Paich, Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, Greg Phillinganes of Toto, Gregg Bissonette, Todd Sucherman of Styx, and others.
