Electric Audio debuts at High End Show 2025 as a Gauder Akustik subsidiary, launching two amplifiers: TAE 150 and PAE 150.
TAE 150 features a streamlined amplifier circuit without a preamp, delivering up to 365W/channel with a 1,000 VA transformer ensuring dynamic sound.
PAE 150 serves as a companion power amp, enabling bi-amping for precise frequency control in high-end speaker systems.
Electric Audio, a new German audio brand, has debuted at the High End Show 2025 in Munich with two amplifier models: the Electric Audio TAE 150 integrated amplifier and the Electric Audio PAE 150 stereo power amplifier. As a subsidiary of renowned loudspeaker manufacturer Gauder Akustik, Electric Audio leverages decades of expertise in audio engineering to deliver an audibly refined listening experience.
The Electric Audio TAE 150 is an integrated transistor amplifier featuring an innovative amplification circuit that eliminates the need for a preamplifier stage, offering a streamlined signal path. It delivers an output power of 130 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 215 watts at 4 ohms, and an impressive 365 watts at 2 ohms. The robust power supply is based on a 1,000 VA toroidal transformer and capacitor banks with a total capacity of 80,000 µF. This design enables the amplifier to reach peak currents up to 70 amps, ensuring dynamic sound reproduction with ample headroom. TAE 150 supports only analog inputs, appealing to purists who favor a simple and focused audiophile signal chain.
The companion power amplifier, Electric Audio PAE 150, shares the same high-performance output stage as the TAE 150 but omits the input selector and preamplifier section. When paired with the TAE 150, bi-amping configurations can be achieved, allowing precise control of bass and mid-high frequency drivers in compatible speaker systems. Separate volume adjustment is possible when these units are used together, further expanding their operational versatility in high-end setups.
Both models feature a compact yet solid physical design with dimensions of 435 x 195 x 390 mm and a weight of 22 kg each, signaling durability while ensuring they fit into typical component racks. Although pricing and availability details remain under wraps, these amplifiers promise to be powerful tools for users seeking uncompromising audio performance and precision.
With their carefully engineered circuitry, substantial power reserves, and refined build quality, the TAE 150 and PAE 150 reflect Electric Audio’s dedication to pushing boundaries in amplifier design. Enthusiasts can look forward to exploring their potential in creating engaging high-fidelity soundscapes.
