Elipson Introduces the Planet L Performance Speaker System
Elipson has unveiled the updated version of its acclaimed Planet L acoustic system, now named Planet L Performance. Celebrated as a bestseller, this latest edition marks a significant enhancement in design and sound quality, tailored for discerning audiophiles seeking precision and elegance in their audio setup.
At the core of the Planet L Performance lies a newly developed coaxial driver, featuring a 165mm cellulose pulp bass-midrange cone with a damping surface treatment. This advancement nearly doubles the power handling capacity compared to previous models. Complementing the midrange is a 25mm treated silk dome tweeter, optimized with a Neodymium magnet and equipped with a horn boot to ensure a linear extension of high frequencies. The integration of these components results in a more linear frequency response and superior high-frequency diffusion, minimizing distortion across the audible spectrum.
The system's crossover has been meticulously optimized, incorporating high-quality audiophile-grade components such as MKP polypropylene capacitors, MKT polyester capacitors, low-resistance inductors, and 2.25 mm² OFC internal wiring. This design choice facilitates precise frequency separation and enhances the purity of sound reproduction. Additionally, the DAR® (Double Asymmetric Rubber) technology in the driver's peripheral suspension ensures tight bass control and improved dynamics, with the bass-reflex tuning frequency adjusted to 50 Hz to align perfectly with the speaker's resonance.
Designed for versatility, the Planet L Performance maintains compatibility with existing mounting systems, including wall, stand, and ceiling brackets. Available in satin, matte, and gloss finishes, these speakers seamlessly integrate into various interior styles while delivering exceptional musicality. The system operates within a frequency range of 46 Hz to 20,000 Hz and supports a maximum power handling of 100 W per pair, priced at €1,299.
