Fluance has expanded its Reference Series with the introduction of the Ri71 Reference Bookshelf Speakers and the Ri91 Reference Tower Speakers. These new powered systems maintain Fluance’s reputation for delivering high-performance audio solutions at reasonable prices, catering to audiophiles seeking quality regardless of manufacturing origin.
Both the Ri71 and Ri91 are designed with advanced Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters, offering crisp and detailed highs alongside superior off-axis performance. The Ri71 features a 120W amplifier paired with 5-inch woven glass fiber drivers, while the Ri91 boasts a more robust 150W Class D amplifier and dual 6.5-inch drivers, making it ideal for larger spaces and home theater setups. Both models incorporate Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to enhance vocal range, low-frequency response, and overall sound balance, ensuring an immersive listening experience.
Connectivity options have been upgraded with Bluetooth aptX HD and HDMI ARC, allowing seamless integration with various devices and enabling the Ri71 and Ri91 systems to function as soundbar substitutes for TVs. The inclusion of custom-engineered waveguides in both speakers ensures expansive sound dispersion, while the acoustically inert MDF wood cabinets with internal bracing and tuned front-firing ports minimize resonance and enhance bass response.
Saied Swalee, Audio Engineer at Fluance, stated, “Our new Reference Series Speakers are a testament to our commitment to fidelity, emphasizing sonic balance, intricate detail, and clarity in sound reproduction. This series appeals to the refined tastes of true sound connoisseurs, providing an unmatched listening experience without compromise.”
Available in Black Ash, White Ash, and Walnut finishes, the Ri71 and Ri91 are priced at $399.99 and $799.99, respectively, and can be purchased directly from Fluance’s website. These additions to the Reference Series offer audiophiles enhanced features and performance, reinforcing Fluance’s position in the competitive high-end audio market.
