Fostex has unveiled the GS17H super tweeter, a sophisticated addition to their Heritage Design lineup designed to pair seamlessly with the GS103A-VB bookshelf speakers. Building on the legacy of the FT17H driver from 1986, the GS17H maintains the sharp and transparent sound that audiophiles have cherished for decades.
The GS17H features an English walnut finish, meticulously crafted in Japan to match the aesthetic of the GS103A-VB. This harmonious design not only enhances the visual appeal but also ensures a cohesive acoustic experience. The super tweeter operates within a frequency range of 4 kHz to 32 kHz, delivering a sound pressure level of 76 dB at 1 meter and handling a nominal input power of 30 watts.
Integrating advanced technology, the GS17H includes a built-in high-pass filter utilizing CX series capacitors, set at a cutoff frequency of approximately 120 kHz. This all-in-one design simplifies installation, allowing users to effortlessly place the super tweeter on top of the GS103A-VB and connect it using the included speaker cables. The enclosure, measuring 104 x 119 x 96 mm and weighing 685 grams, is constructed from MDF with an olefin laminated finish, ensuring durability and optimal sound performance.
