Unique No Feedback (NFB) gain control system adds harmonic texture beyond standard preamp capabilities.
Heritage Audio has unveiled the LANG SILVERR 47, a tube-based preamplifier for microphones and instruments, developed in collaboration with experts from LANG Electronics. Drawing inspiration from the renowned British preamp designs of the 1960s, the SILVERR 47 promises a vintage aesthetic with modern enhancements to meet current studio demands.
At its heart, the preamp employs a dual-tube architecture comprising a NOS 6AU6 tube for the input stage and a JJ E88CC for the output stage. Complementing this setup is a specially crafted transformer from LANG Electronics, which ensures the characteristic tonal richness reminiscent of classic gear from decades past. One standout feature is its adjustable No Feedback (NFB) gain control system, which introduces a unique harmonic texture for shaping sound beyond conventional preamp applications.
The SILVERR 47 includes features like a phantom power supply, phase reversal, an 80 Hz high-pass filter, and gain adjustment controls with 6 dB increments. Users will find flexibility in connectivity, with two DI inputs, two XLR microphone inputs, and two line inputs (6.3 mm). For output, the unit provides two XLR and two 6.3 mm line outputs, enabling seamless integration into various studio setups.
Encased in a robust two-unit 19-inch rack format, this preamp blends vintage aesthetics with practical functionality. Heritage Audio brings back the sound of a defining era while offering precision and versatility that's ready for contemporary production needs. Priced at $1270, the SILVERR 47 aims to deliver exceptional sonic character without breaking the bank, catering to audiophiles and studio professionals alike.
