Jensen Speakers Launch Limited-Edition Blackbird 15/100 and Tornado Special Edition Guitar Speakers

This beast features Jensen's exclusive "Reinforced AlNiCo" magnet design. The 15-inch cone delivers a powerful depth in the bass range, and with a 2-inch aluminum voice coil, it offers an expressive midrange and a top end that's both delicate and chimey. The dynamic range is impressive, providing that sweet, musical compression characteristic of top-tier AlNiCo speakers. It's incredibly touch-responsive and suits everything from clean, pure tones to all shades of punchy overdrive.

Each Blackbird 15/100 is hand-assembled by a specialized team at the SICA factory in Italy. The attention to detail is evident with its metallic black basket finish and a laser-etched aluminum label bearing Raimondo’s signature and a unique serial number. It's priced at €339 Euros or $369.95 USD, which seems fair considering its limited availability and craftsmanship.

On another note, Jensen also introduced the Tornado Special Edition. This 12-inch neodymium guitar speaker is designed for modern tones and high-gain applications. They've re-voiced it from the ground up, shifting some energy from the deepest bass up into the lower midrange to provide a thicker, richer tone right where the guitar fundamentals are.

The Tornado SE features a new membrane with a custom-treated surround and a large diameter dust cap dome, crucial for shaping the trebles. Its 2-inch copper-wound voice coil on a Kapton former ensures high headroom and dynamic response. The second-generation neodymium magnet keeps the weight down while delivering excellent performance. With 100W power handling and 97.1dB sensitivity, it's versatile enough for open-back, vented, or closed-back enclosures. Available in both 8 and 16 Ohm versions, it's priced at €179 Euros or $229 USD.
