Kroma Atelier is set to unveil its latest innovation, the Callas floor-standing speaker, at the High End Show 2025 in Munich, beginning later this week. Positioned as the most accessible flagship model in the Kroma Atelier lineup, the Callas promises to deliver the exceptional sound quality of the renowned Irya series at half the price. This introduction marks a significant step in making high-fidelity audio more attainable without compromising on performance.

The Callas speaker features a four-way design, incorporating a phase inverter and constructed entirely from Krion, an advanced material known for its acoustic neutrality and resistance to resonance. Inspired by automotive muffler engineering, the cabinet includes meticulously designed chambers and resonators that effectively dampen unwanted frequencies, ensuring precise tonal control. Handcrafted wooden phase inverter ports facilitate smooth airflow, contributing to clean bass reproduction devoid of typical artifacts.

Equipped with dual AMT tweeters, two mid/high/low drivers with 8-inch anodized aluminum diffusers, and a robust 10-inch low-frequency driver, the Callas delivers a comprehensive sound spectrum. The internal wiring utilizes pure copper, while the crossover networks are assembled using premium components from Duelund and Mundorf. This meticulous selection of parts guarantees accurate sound reproduction and clear channel separation across the entire frequency range.

With a sensitivity of 91.5 dB and an impedance of 4 Ohms, the Callas operates efficiently within a frequency range of 20 Hz to 25 kHz (±3 dB). Each unit stands 133 cm tall, 56 cm deep, and 42 cm wide, weighing 123 kg. The package includes IsoAcoustics Gaia I vibration isolation stands, ensuring optimal placement and stability. Priced at approximately €88,000 in Europe, the Callas represents a compelling option for audiophiles seeking top-tier performance without the premium cost.

Attendees of the High End Show will have the opportunity to experience the Callas in two dedicated rooms, Atrium 4.2 Room F219 and Hall 2 Room H05, as well as alongside the Kroma Atelier "Mac Beth" in Atrium 4.2 Room E222 at IBEX Audio's demonstration. This launch underscores Kroma Atelier’s commitment to excellence and innovation in speaker design, continuing to set high standards in the audiophile community.
