World's first full-range speaker with UTAG diaphragm, offering groundbreaking audio technology.
Dinorex UTG(R) material ensures superior sound response and lightweight construction.
Exceptional frequency range up to 40,000 Hz for unparalleled audio clarity.
Mark Audio has unveiled the Alpair 5G, the world’s first full-range speaker unit featuring a diaphragm crafted from UTAG (Ultra Thin Acoustic Glass). This innovative speaker, available for purchase on the Greenfunding crowdfunding platform at approximately 24,200 Japanese yen per pair, marks a significant advancement in audio technology.
The Alpair 5G boasts an impressive frequency range extending up to 40,000 Hz, ensuring exceptional clarity and detail across the entire spectrum of sound. The diaphragm is made from Dinorex UTG(R), a proprietary ultra-thin glass developed by Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. This material offers a sound transmission speed that surpasses titanium and a mass lighter than aluminum, providing both superior sound response and lightweight construction.
Key technical features of the Alpair 5G include a suspension system made from high-quality rubber and a magnetic system constructed from ferrite. The cast basket is produced using an aluminum alloy, contributing to the speaker's durability and acoustic performance. The use of Dinorex UTG(R) in the diaphragm offers several advantages:
The development of the Alpair 5G was a collaborative effort involving three specialized companies. Nippon Electric Glass focused on the flexible glass development, Taiwan’s Glass Acoustic Innovations handled the glass diffuser manufacturing, and Mark Audio integrated these components into the final speaker unit.
Mark Audio, headquartered in Guangzhou, China, has a reputation for pushing the boundaries of full-range speaker technology. Their commitment to in-house design and custom-made components has established them as a trusted name among audiophiles seeking high-performance and high-quality audio solutions.
The Alpair 5G is available in various configurations on Greenfunding, including standalone speaker units, speaker sets with walnut or mahogany finishes, and integrated amplifier sets paired with walnut speaker sets. The crowdfunding campaign launched on January 15, 2025, and will run until March 31, 2025.
