NOW continues its dedication to 1980s dance and pop with the release of NOW 12″ 80s: 1984 Part Two, a comprehensive 4CD set featuring 46 extended, full-length, and remixed tracks. Building on the success of Part One released in January, this collection delves deeper into the vibrant soundscape of 1984, showcasing a blend of global chart-toppers and club anthems that defined the era.

The compilation includes iconic extended mixes from renowned artists such as Wham!, Culture Club, Nena, Eurythmics, New Order, and Duran Duran. Noteworthy entries feature the 8.10 Extended Mix of Paul McCartney’s “No More Lonely Nights,” marking its CD debut, and Elton John’s “Passengers (Extended Remix).” Additionally, the set presents the early 1984 extended mix of the Thompson Twins’ “Lay Your Hands On Me,” co-produced by Alex Sadkin, offering a distinctive take before Nile Rodgers' later iteration.

Technical enthusiasts will appreciate the meticulous selection of 12″ versions that preserve the original energy and depth of the tracks. From the synth-driven beats of Ultravox’s “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes” to the layered textures of The Art of Noise’s “Beat Box (Diversion One),” each CD in the set delivers high-fidelity sound that caters to discerning audiophiles. The inclusion of rare mixes, such as the extended version of Paul McCartney’s track, highlights the collection’s commitment to offering both popular and obscure gems from 1984.

Set for release on April 11, 2025, NOW 12″ 80s: 1984 Part Two complements Part One by expanding the musical narrative of a pivotal year in pop history. This collection is an essential addition for collectors and enthusiasts seeking to relive the dynamic and diverse sounds that characterized the mid-80s music scene.
