Swiss-engineered three-way active monitor with dual 10" woofers and aluminum coil tweeter for precise audio fidelity.
Covers an extensive frequency range (20 Hz to 23 kHz) and delivers powerful bass with minimized noise via double-reinforced MDF enclosure.
Features proprietary CPR and AOI technologies for zero-latency analog signal path and optimized driver synchronization.
PSI Audio has unveiled the A226-MAIN, a new three-way active studio monitor designed to serve as a primary reference in recording studios and mastering environments. This Swiss-engineered monitor features a symmetrical configuration with dual 10-inch woofers complemented by a newly developed aluminum coil tweeter and the renowned Extended Dome (EXD) midrange driver. The A226-MAIN covers an impressive frequency range from 20 Hz to 23 kHz, ensuring precise audio reproduction across the entire spectrum.
Built with a double-reinforced MDF enclosure, the A226-MAIN is engineered to deliver deep, powerful bass without unwanted noise or turbulence. The phase-inverted acoustic design of the two woofers, positioned on either side of the mid/high panel, enhances low-frequency performance while minimizing vertical dispersion. This setup, along with adjustable mid/high panels, ensures a wide sweet spot and accurate sound staging, making it ideal for critical listening and detailed mixing tasks.
Powering the A226-MAIN are four Class G/H amplifiers providing 250 watts each for the woofers, 150 watts for the midrange, and 65 watts for the tweeter. This robust amplification supports a maximum sound pressure level of 112 dB standard (AES75) and can peak up to 126 dB, maintaining clarity even at high volumes. PSI Audio integrates proprietary technologies such as Compensated Phase Response (CPR) and Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI) to synchronize driver performance and optimize membrane movement, resulting in a highly accurate and zero-latency analog signal path.
Each A226-MAIN monitor is meticulously developed, manufactured, and calibrated in PSI Audio’s Swiss facility, ensuring consistency and high performance. The monitors come with individual measurement charts, reflecting their precise tuning for professional applications. Additionally, PSI Audio offers a dedicated speaker stand to achieve optimal placement and further enhance the monitor’s performance in various studio setups.
Available for pre-order now, the PSI Audio A226-MAIN represents the pinnacle of the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional sound quality and technical excellence. While the recommended retail price is yet to be announced, the A226-MAIN is poised to become a staple in high-end studios seeking uncompromised audio fidelity and reliability.
