Rush fans can mark their calendars for March 21, 2025, as the legendary Canadian rock band unveils "Rush 50," a comprehensive anthology celebrating five decades of their iconic sound. This career-spanning box set is available in four CDs or seven vinyl LPs, each meticulously curated to showcase the evolution of Rush's music from their debut single in 1973 to their final performance in 2015.

The collection features 50 tracks, including seven previously unreleased gems that audiophiles have long sought. Among these rarities are the first official CD and LP reissues of Rush’s debut single, a Buddy Holly cover “Not Fade Away” paired with “You Can’t Fight It,” both freshly remastered from original tapes. Additionally, "Working Man" and "The Trees" receive special "vault editions" with alternate guitar solos, providing a new dimension to these classic tracks. The box set also includes five unreleased live recordings, capturing performances from early shows in 1974 and the band's last concert in Los Angeles.

Technical excellence is at the forefront of "Rush 50." The seven LPs are pressed on 180g audiophile-grade vinyl using Direct Metal Mastering at GZ Media in the Czech Republic, ensuring superior sound quality. Each vinyl comes in high-quality tip-on sleeves featuring new artwork by Hugh Syme, Rush’s longtime creative director. The 4-CD edition preserves the integrity of Rush's dynamic range, offering a pristine listening experience for digital enthusiasts.

Included in every box is a hardcover book filled with essays and photographs that delve into the band's storied career. The Super Deluxe Edition further enhances the package with 29 new illustrations and a 100-page graphic novel titled "The Fullness Of Time," which visually narrates conversations between Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson about their musical journey. This attention to detail not only honors Rush’s legacy but also provides fans with a deeper appreciation of their artistic process.

"Rush 50" stands as a testament to the band's enduring impact on progressive rock, encapsulating their technical prowess, lyrical depth, and innovative spirit. Whether in the rich analog warmth of vinyl or the crisp clarity of CDs, this anthology offers a definitive collection for both longtime devotees and new listeners alike.
