YBA, the esteemed French audio manufacturer, has introduced its new 'Design' series, an entry-level lineup that integrates high-end features across four distinct models. The collection includes the YT302 SACD transport, YD302 streamer and DA converter, YP302 preamplifier and headphone amplifier, and the YA302 integrated amplifier, each designed to meet the demands of discerning audiophiles.
The YP302 serves dual functions as both a preamplifier and a headphone amplifier, equipped with two sets of RCA and XLR inputs. It offers stereo RCA and XLR outputs, facilitating versatile connectivity options. Notably, the front panel is adorned with four headphone jacks—4mm balanced, 4-pin XLR balanced, 6.35mm single-ended, and 3.5mm single-ended—catering to a wide range of headphone preferences. Powered by an impressive 7.3 watts at 32 ohms, the YP302 is capable of driving even the most demanding headphones. Inside, it features a German 48VA UI transformer, a precise PGA2320 volume control, and exclusive YBA capacitors, all housed within a compact 32 x 26 x 8 cm frame weighing six kilograms.
The integrated amplifier, YA302, delivers robust performance with a power output of 2 x 100 Watts at eight Ohms and 2 x 180 Watts at four Ohms, ensuring ample power for various speaker configurations. The YT302 SACD transport boasts True DSD Output, enhancing digital audio fidelity, while the YD302 streamer and DA converter operates on a Linux-based system, supporting multiple streaming services and incorporating a high-quality DAC audio circuit for superior sound reproduction.
Set to make its international debut at High End Munich 2025, the YBA Design series will be showcased at stand L05 in Hall 3. Mr. Yves-Bernard André will be available to address inquiries from attendees. The YP302 preamplifier and headphone amplifier, along with the YT302 SACD transport, are scheduled for release in May 2025, each priced at a recommended retail price of €3,200. The YD302 streamer and DAC are expected to launch in the summer of 2025, followed by the YA302 integrated amplifier in the autumn, with pricing details to be announced.
