Ypsilon Audio Celebrates 30 Years with the Release of the PST 100 Anniversary Pre Amplifier
Ypsilon Audio marks its 30th anniversary with the introduction of the PST 100 Anniversary Pre Amplifier at Audio Show Deluxe 2025. This special edition builds upon the acclaimed PST 100 SE, maintaining the use of C3m pentodes with one per channel, ensuring the signature sonic quality that enthusiasts appreciate.
A standout feature of the PST 100 Anniversary is the incorporation of nanocrystalline core transformers with silver windings at both the input and output stages. This advancement supports an ultra-pure circuit topology in the active gain stage, minimizing signal loss and enhancing transparency. Additionally, the preamplifier is entirely point-to-point wired using ultra-pure silver wire, which preserves audio integrity by eliminating capacitors from the signal path.
The power supply has been meticulously refined with high-quality film capacitors replacing electrolytics, paired with a double C-core amorphous choke filter boasting very high inductance.
