The Onkyo D-11 is a compact bookshelf loudspeaker model that was manufactured from 1986 to 1987 in Japan. Designated as a 3-way, 3-speaker system, it features an air suspension design with complete anti-magnetic measures, making it suitable for various environments. The D-11 incorporates a 22 cm cone type unit with a delta olefin refined diaphragm for low frequencies, ensuring a broad and distortion-free sound reproduction. High-frequency reproduction is handled by a 2.5 cm dome type unit made using super-hard titanium, while the ultra-high frequencies are delivered by a 1.2 cm ceramic type unit. The crossover frequencies are set at 1500 Hz and 10000 Hz, allowing for a wide playback frequency range from 45 Hz to 45000 Hz. With a maximum input of 140W and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, the D-11 delivers an output sound pressure level of 90 dB/W/m. The cabinet has an internal volume of 16.5 liters, with external dimensions of 243 mm in width, 429 mm in height, and 247 mm in depth, weighing approximately 7.5 kg. The D-11 was priced around 390 DM per piece at its original release, reflecting its quality construction and performance capabilities.
