The Onkyo TX-7800 is a stereo receiver produced by Onkyo, manufactured in 1991 and available in black or silver finishes. It has a power consumption of 140 watts and measures 455 x 120 x 316 mm, weighing 7.0 kg. This model does not come with a remote control. The original price was approximately 498 DM. The TX-7800 features various input options including a Phono MM input, CD input, Tape 1, Tape 2, and video/audio connections, along with coaxial FM and AM aerial connections. It supports two pairs of speaker outputs and includes a headphone output with a 6.3 mm jack plug. The continuous power output at 8 ohms is rated at 2 x 40 watts, while it can deliver 2 x 50 watts at 4 ohms with a total harmonic distortion of 0.1%. The receiver incorporates tone controls for bass and treble adjustments and has a loudness feature. However, it does not feature high or low filters and lacks direct/line-straight functionality. For radio reception, it can tune into FM and AM frequencies with an input sensitivity of 1.2 µV (FM mono) and 30 µV (MW), along with a channel separation of 40 dB at 1 kHz. It supports a station memory of 30 stations each for FM and AM and has additional optimization features for reception.
