Aavik Introduces the R-X88 Series of Phono Preamps for MC and Optical Cartridges

The Aavik R-X88 phono preamps series includes three models: R-188, R-288, and R-588, designed for MC and DS Audio optical cartridges.

Noise reduction is achieved using Tesla coils and dither circuitry, with the R-588 utilizing up to 108 active Tesla coils and 9 dither circuits.

All models feature a floating RCA input with gain options of 58dB-64dB, and a dedicated optical cartridge input with 26dB of gain.
