AMG introduces a new line of meticulously hand-assembled tonearm cables with precision and quality.
Available in **Standard**, **Reference**, and **Silverclear** models, with customizable connector options.
Silverclear** uses 4N pure silver wire, offers ultra-low capacitance (25 pF/m), and enhances transparency and detail at **€3,400**.
After what feels like an eternity of anticipation, AMG (Analog Manufaktur Germany) has finally unveiled their new line of tonearm cables. Crafted over several years at their German facility, these cables are meticulously hand-assembled, which aligns with AMG's dedication to precision and quality.
By default, these cables come with 5-pin DIN, RCA, or XLR connectors, but AMG is accommodating enough to offer custom interfaces upon request. The lineup includes three models: , , and .
The Standard cable features high-quality copper conductors and is priced at €330. It's a solid option for those looking to elevate their setup without breaking the bank.
Stepping up, the Reference cable uses solid pure OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) copper. This design is touted to deliver a dynamic and clearly defined sound, particularly in the bass and mid-range frequencies, along with excellently rendered highs and impressive spatial reproduction. The Reference comes in at €1,650, offering a significant upgrade for serious listeners.
At the top of the line is the Silverclear cable, constructed from 4N pure silver wire. With a capacitance of just 25 pF/m, it surpasses comparable cables from other renowned manufacturers. This ultra-low capacitance enhances dynamics, transparency, and resolution, unveiling sonic details that might have been previously overlooked. The Silverclear is priced at €3,400, positioning itself as a premium choice for those seeking the absolute best connection between their tonearm and preamp.
Each cable is built from the ground up, starting with the careful twisting of conductors to the final quality checks. This hands-on approach ensures not only top-notch performance but also durability that stands the test of time.
