Features 17 x 12 mm drivers and Dual Bass Enhancement Technology for robust bass and clear sound.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 with Multipoint support and codecs SBC/AAC for seamless switching.
Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-AC5TW, marking the brand's first foray into open-ear headphone design. Available in black and white, the ATH-AC5TW can be purchased in Japan for approximately 14,960 yen (~9,000 rubles).
The ATH-AC5TW features a unique ear hook design that allows users to remain aware of their surroundings while enjoying high-quality audio. Equipped with large 17 x 12 mm drivers, these headphones deliver robust bass performance, enhanced by Dual Bass Enhancement Technology. This technology integrates digital processing with dynamic correction to ensure clear and impactful sound reproduction.
Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.4, supporting both SBC and AAC codecs, and includes a Multipoint feature for seamless device switching. Each earbud is lightweight, weighing just 10.5 grams, and incorporates two MEMS microphones with beamforming technology to minimize background noise during calls, ensuring clarity in voice communications.
Battery life is another strong point, offering up to 13.5 hours of playback on a single charge and extending to 34 hours with the included charging case. The headphones charge fully in two hours and feature an automatic power-on function when removed from the case, allowing for flexible use of either earbud independently.
The ATH-AC5TW is set to launch on March 14 in Japan and will also be available through the Audio-Technica US store on Amazon. This release positions Audio-Technica as an innovator in open-ear audio solutions, catering to users seeking both comfort and superior sound quality without sacrificing situational awareness.
