Fyne Audio Introduces Enhanced F500S Series with Advanced IsoFlare Technology at Bristol Hi-Fi Show

Scottish loudspeaker manufacturer Fyne Audio has introduced its enhanced F500S series at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show, elevating the brand's reputation among discerning audiophiles. The refreshed lineup includes four distinct models—the monitor F500S, floorstanding F501S and F502S, and the versatile F500S LCR—all maintaining the original pricing structure while offering significant upgrades.

At the heart of the F500S series lies Fyne’s proprietary coaxial IsoFlare driver technology, meticulously refined to position the tweeter centrally within the woofer. This configuration ensures a precise point source ideal for both high-fidelity music and immersive home cinema experiences. The F500S models feature a variety of driver sizes, with the F500S and F5S standmounts equipped with 5-inch IsoFlare drivers, the F501S and F500S LCR floorstanders sporting 6-inch drivers, and the flagship F502S boasting an impressive 8-inch (200mm) IsoFlare driver paired with a 25mm magnesium dome tweeter.

Technical advancements extend to Fyne’s patented BassTrax Tractrix Diffuser technology, which transforms down-firing port energy into a smooth, 360-degree wavefront. This innovation delivers a controlled and rich bass response, enhancing the overall soundstage without being intrusive. Additionally, the F500S LCR model incorporates a motor-damped Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with low-frequency tuning, allowing for flexible placement while maintaining optimal acoustic performance.

The new F500S series also showcases high-rigidity MDF cabinets available in real wood veneers or piano-grade gloss paint finishes. Each speaker unit is designed with bi-wirable binding posts, stabilizing plinths, and magnetic rear grille storage for floorstanders, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional excellence. The integration of a neodymium high-frequency magnet with a vented rear chamber minimizes resonance, while the 25mm magnesium diaphragm enhances damping properties. Unique driver waveguide geometries further improve dispersion and stereo imaging, building on the successes of the original F500 series.
