Madison Amplifier combines Class A/B topology with dual-mono architecture for ultra-low distortion and rich sound.
Versatile operation modes (stereo, bi-amp, mono) ensure compatibility with diverse speaker setups.
Minimalist aluminum chassis houses high-density circuitry for stable, high-precision performance.
Wattson Audio, renowned for its precision engineering and minimalist aesthetic, has unveiled the new Madison Amplifier, marking a significant expansion of its high-end Swiss audio lineup. Developed in collaboration with CH Precision, another esteemed Swiss manufacturer, the Madison Amplifier exemplifies the fusion of technical mastery and elegant simplicity.
“With the Madison Amplifier, we set out to create something extraordinary—an amplifier that embodies the precision and musicality that defines Swiss audio,” stated Alexandre Lavanchy, Technical Director at Wattson Audio. This partnership has resulted in a reference-class stereo power amplifier featuring a Class A/B topology, meticulously tuned to deliver rich harmonics, an expansive soundstage, and ultra-low distortion. The dual-mono architecture ensures exceptional channel separation and dynamic stability, preserving every nuance of the music.
Offering up to 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, the Madison Amplifier is versatile in its operational modes, supporting stereo, bi-amp, or mono configurations. In bi-amp mode, it routes the input signal to both channels for enhanced dynamics and resolution, while mono mode transforms the amplifier into a high-current single-channel unit optimized for demanding speaker loads. This flexibility allows seamless integration with evolving loudspeaker setups.
Encased in a solid aluminum chassis, the Madison Amplifier reflects Wattson Audio’s commitment to minimalist design and durability. Inside, high-density circuitry and a robust power supply with symmetrical DC converters ensure stable, linear performance across a wide range of speaker loads. The fully discrete, symmetrical amplification stage, complemented by both RCA and XLR inputs, is engineered for tonal accuracy and spatial resolution, while matched high-power bipolar transistors at the output stage deliver precise current and control.
Priced at $6,500 USD, the Madison Amplifier is available now through authorized Wattson Audio retailers. This latest offering continues Wattson Audio’s tradition of delivering high-quality, Swiss-made audio products tailored for discerning listeners seeking both technical excellence and timeless design.
