About SVEN
Founded in 1991 in Russia as a producer of computer periphery devices, SVEN presents itself as a Finnish brand despite its controversial Russian origins. The company derived its name from a previous company in the Russian city of Bryansk, near the river Sven, but operates with a Finnish domain and claims ownership by a Finnish company for international branding. Registered in over 50 countries with official representative offices, SVEN specializes in acoustics, computer accessories, headphones, gaming devices, and electrical equipment. With at least 15 factories in China and R&D centers in Finland, China, Ukraine, and CIS states, the company serves markets throughout the CIS region including Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia. SVEN became controversial in Ukraine during 2014 due to its Russian connections, facing boycott campaigns from Ukrainian activists concerned about supporting Russian businesses during the conflict. Despite these challenges, the company continues operations globally, offering affordable consumer electronics and audio products.
