Founded in 2017 in Seoul, South Korea by industry veteran Ashulley Lee, AZLA emerged as a new generation earphone maker with deep roots in premium audio. Lee previously worked for Iriver and was instrumental in establishing Astell&Kern before leaving to establish his own business in 2014, spending three years researching before developing the first AZLA earphone and SednaEarfit tips simultaneously in 2017. The company name derives from 'meteorite,' combining Azur (French for 'sky') and Lapis (Latin for 'stone'), symbolizing a small fallen piece from the universe. Based in Gangnam, Seoul, AZLA is the only manufacturer producing ear tips exclusively in Korea, with all products crafted domestically. The company gained recognition with the AZLA-01R, the first Universal IEM using their proprietary Infinity Sound Technology™ with in-house BED™ (Bulls Eye Driver)™ technology.
