The JBL 4345 is a professional-grade, large speaker system designed for exceptional audio performance, particularly in low-frequency reproduction. Released in 1981, the model incorporates an advanced 46 cm cone type woofer, the 2245H, which integrates both traditional and modern design elements to enhance efficiency, linearity, and overall sound quality. This woofer features an optimized cone structure with selected materials, and JBL's proprietary damping agent to improve mass and rigidity. Additionally, the audio output benefits from a symmetrical magnetic circuit design that reduces distortion. The system includes a mid-range driver (2122H) and combines a horn type mid-range with acoustic lens and driver unit for clear mid frequencies. A horn tweeter (2405) further extends the high frequencies up to 21.5 kHz, ensuring a wide and clear soundstage. The speaker is constructed from 21 mm thick particle board with internal reinforcements to minimize vibration, ensuring high fidelity audio playback. The JBL 4345 features a frequency response range from 32 Hz to 20 kHz and offers multiple input options for bi-amplification. Its cabinet dimensions allow for effective sound image localization, making it suitable for professional studio environments or high-end installations.
