The JBL Control 1 G is a commemorative speaker model launched to celebrate JBL's 50th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of the Control Series. This speaker system is tuned to enhance the listening experience compared to the original Control 1 model, featuring a 13 cm cone-type woofer for low frequencies. The woofer is constructed using a lightweight, highly rigid pulp-based cone with a high-polymer composite diaphragm, optimized for internal loss and sound quality. The high-frequency range is managed by a 2.5 cm balanced drive tweeter, which employs a semi-dome design with a center dome to improve response and directivity. This tweeter also incorporates a unique diaphragm structure combining heat-resistant polymer film and a voice coil bobbin to minimize distortion. The design of the speaker includes a magnetic resistant feature, and its simple network configuration allows for clean sound reproduction. Additionally, there is a built-in protector that safeguards the speaker from excessive input. The cabinet employs a bass reflex system, enhancing low-frequency performance while maintaining compact dimensions. The exterior showcases a silver gray metallic grill logo exclusive to this commemorative model. The speaker can be easily mounted to walls or ceilings with the optional speaker brackets.
