The Kenwood DP-660 SG is a compact disc player manufactured by Kenwood in Japan between January 1988 and 1990. It features a black finish and includes remote control functionality for added convenience. With dimensions of 440 mm in width, 104 mm in height, and 312 mm in depth, it has a weight of approximately 5.9 kg. The original price of the unit was around 600 DM in 1988. It provides analog outputs with a voltage of 2.0 V at 110 Ohm, and headphone output via a 6.3 mm jack offering 60 mW at 8 Ohm. The player incorporates a 16-bit converter with 4 times oversampling and has a frequency response ranging from 4 Hz to 20 kHz. Its dynamic range reaches 95 dB at 1 kHz, while the signal-to-noise ratio is rated at 100 dB. The total harmonic distortion is minimal, at 0.003% at 1 kHz. It boasts excellent channel separation of 100 dB at 1 kHz. Features include programmable title selection for up to 16 titles, with support for CD-R playback but no support for CD-RW or MP3 formats. The DP-660 SG does not include CD-Text, pitch control, auto play, or shuffle functions.
