British audio manufacturer Spendor Audio Systems is set to unveil the highly anticipated A-Line Mark 2 series at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2025, which commenced today. This new generation of acoustic systems builds upon the legacy of the original A-Line introduced in 2017, bringing significant enhancements across four models: the compact A1.2 shelf speakers and the A2.2, A4.2, and flagship A7.2 floorstanders.
The A-Line Mark 2 series features a completely redesigned internal bracing system and an upgraded crossover network in the A1.2 and A2.2 models. The A4.2 and A7.2 floorstanding speakers are equipped with new low/mid-range drivers and a larger tweeter, along with a new phase-inversion port. These technical advancements ensure improved sound projection, greater bass extension, and enhanced clarity, maintaining Spendor’s commitment to high-fidelity audio.
Manufacturers have indicated that the new A-Line Mark 2 will deliver a clean, open sound characteristic of the A-Line, offering energetic and engaging performance despite their refined and compact designs. The inclusion of advanced internal wiring and optimized crossover components across all models highlights Spendor’s focus on precision engineering and sonic excellence.
The series is scheduled to be available for purchase following its world premiere at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show, running from February 21 to 23, 2025. Retail pricing in the UK starts at £1,499 for the A1.2, £1,999 for the A2.2, £2,999 for the A4.2, and £3,999 for the A7.2 pairs, positioning the A-Line Mark 2 as a competitive option for audiophiles seeking robust performance across various price points.
This latest iteration of the A-Line underscores Spendor’s dedication to delivering high-quality sound solutions, blending technical innovation with user-oriented design to cater to both new and seasoned audio enthusiasts.
