Raidho Acoustics is a Danish high-end loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 2001 by engineer Michael Børresen and Lars Kristensen in Pandrup, Denmark, building on their previous collaboration at Nordost and expertise developed over more than two decades in the hi-fi industry. Originally established to exploit Børresen's advanced engineering skills beyond cables, Raidho quickly gained international recognition for handcrafted premium loudspeakers that HiFi purists worldwide consider among the finest ever developed and produced. Following financial challenges during the 2008 crisis, Raidho was acquired in 2009 by Dantax Radio A/S, a publicly traded Danish holding company (Copenhagen Stock Exchange since 1984) whose origins trace back to 1971, when founder established the company in Pandrup and later acquired the legendary Scan-Speak factory in 1977. Now part of the Dantax family alongside Scansonic HD and Gamut Audio brands, Raidho operates from the former Scan-Speak facility with approximately dozen employees who design and manufacture every component in-house, including proprietary ribbon tweeters and the world's first subwoofers with diamond-coated drivers. Under the current leadership of CTO John Peter Jensen (Dantax founder and former Scanspeak owner) and CEO Peter Jensen, with chief engineer Peter Larsen (former Dynaudio and Vifa engineer) leading speaker design, Raidho continues the Danish tradition of acoustic excellence through their award-winning X series (high-value) and premium TD series loudspeakers, earning 25+ international awards and recognition from reviewers, magazines, and HiFi shows worldwide while maintaining their commitment to handmade craftsmanship and cutting-edge acoustic technology that defines superior soundstage reproduction.
