Arcam's Radia SA35, SA45, and ST25 models gain Qobuz Connect via free firmware update.
Qobuz Connect enables direct playback from servers while preserving 24-bit/192kHz audio quality.
Users benefit from seamless control, device switching, and curated playlists without loss of fidelity.
Arcam has introduced Qobuz Connect support to three of its Radia series streaming products, further enhancing their appeal for hi-fi enthusiasts. This new feature is rolling out via a free firmware update to the Radia SA35 and SA45 integrated streaming amplifiers, as well as the flagship Radia ST25 music streamer.
Qobuz Connect is an innovative feature that enables music playback directly from Qobuz's servers onto compatible hi-fi devices over a network. The native Qobuz app acts exclusively as the control interface, streamlining the user experience while maintaining audiophile-grade sound quality. This update unlocks the full potential of Qobuz’s library, which boasts over 100 million tracks in high-resolution qualities of up to 24-bit/192kHz.
The seamless integration of Qobuz Connect allows users to switch between devices during playback, control their audio from mobile devices or computers, and access editorial content and curated playlists—all without sacrificing audio fidelity. Unlike streaming through lossy solutions, this implementation preserves the full resolution of the music, catering specifically to detail-oriented listeners.
James Todd, Arcam’s Global Product Line Manager, emphasized that their mission is to merge exceptional sound performance with user-friendly features. By supporting Qobuz Connect, Arcam provides users with an elegant and flexible solution for enjoying high-quality music, aligning with the growing demand for top-tier audio streaming experiences.
While the SA35, SA45, and ST25 are the first in the Radia line to receive this enhancement, there’s no confirmation yet on whether other models, such as the Arcam ST5 or the earlier ST60, will see similar updates in the future. For now, Radia owners with active Qobuz subscriptions can look forward to a refined streaming experience that truly aligns with modern hi-fi expectations.
