Pulp is set to release their highly anticipated studio album, More, on June 13, 2025, marking their first collection of new material in nearly 24 years. The 11-track album, produced by James Ford, was recorded over a swift three-week period in Walthamstow, London, beginning on November 18, 2024. Jarvis Cocker noted that this rapid recording process was unprecedented for the band, highlighting that the album was "obviously ready to happen."
Dedicated to the memory of bassist Steve Mackey, More features collaborations with notable artists including Richard Hawley and members of the Eno family, who provide backing vocals on one of the tracks. The album also boasts intricate string arrangements by Richard Jones, performed by the Elysian Collective. The lead single, "Spike Island," draws inspiration from the iconic 1990 Stone Roses concert and showcases Cocker's unique approach to blending storytelling with rich musical composition.
