The Toshiba SR-230 is a semi-automatic record player that was manufactured between 1976 and 1978 in Japan. It features a belt drive system powered by a 4-pole motor, allowing for operational speeds of 33 ⅓ and 45 RPM. The player utilizes an injection-molded aluminum turntable with a diameter of 300 mm, weighing 1 kg. The SR-230 is statically balanced and comes with an S-shaped universal tubular tonearm that measures an effective length of 220 mm and an overhang of 15 mm. Its tracking error angle is 23 degrees, and it includes an adjustable contact pressure range from 0 to 4 g.
