The Burmester Ambience BA31 loudspeaker is a floorstanding model that features an innovative 2.5-way design, integrating two Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters—one front-firing and another rear-firing—to enhance ambient sound for a more immersive listening experience. The speaker includes 170mm impregnated paper cone drivers and a bi-wirable binding post configuration. The BA31 has a nominal sensitivity of 87dB and operates effectively when partnered with amplifiers like the Burmester 032, which delivers 2x170 watts of power. Performance features include deep, transparent bass that extends to a claimed frequency response of 38Hz (-3dB), precise midrange clarity, and sparkling highs.
